BOSTON - A economia norte-americana está se estabilizando, mas há ainda um longo caminho a percorrer antes da recuperação, disse o secretário do Tesouro, Timothy Geithner, nesta quarta-feira.

"A economia nacional está mostrando alguns sinais inicias de estabilidade. A confiança melhorou e o sistema financeiro está começando a se curar. O crédito está começando a melhorar um pouco", afirmou ele.
